Creating spaces for conexión, celebration, and reclamation for the Latiné Community.

Through interactive learning, movement, and theatre, ¡Looking Bilingüe! creates culturally-rooted educational experiences where the full range of our Latinidad is seen, explored, and celebrated.

We help educators, families, and organizations build culture, identity, and community.

Your Latinidad is valid, and this work makes space for it.

Whether you're a child soaking in your cultura and languages through our storytimes, a family receiving bilingual parenting coaching, or an educator learning how to weave biliteracy and cultural affirmation into your classroom or organization, ¡LB! meets you where you are — con respeto, con intención, y sin juicio.

Because there is no one way to be Latiné, no one way to sound, to speak, to remember, or to belong. Aquí, we honor it all: the in-betweens, the casi casi, the “I understand but I don’t speak,” the accents, the pauses, the frustration, the relearning, y el orgullo that grows along the way.

Our students and community come to us for this reason: we don’t measure “Latino” authenticity or perfection — and we hate the idea that it should be measured at all. Instead, we create space to reconnect, rediscover, and reimagine what it means to carry our Latinidad forward, hand in hand with our other cultures; together y sin vergüenza.

If something here resonates, even just a little, take it as your invitation to reach out. Queremos conocer tu historia.

something for everyone

Algo para todos

¡Looking Bilingüe! is an educational resource centered on the bilingual and bicultural experiences of the Latiné Heritage Community — serving all ages, from birth to 99 (sí, hasta los viejitos).

More than a space for learning, ¡LB! is a living record of our stories, our language, and our Latinidad. Through theatre, movement, and storytelling, we partner with nonprofits, educators, and families to uplift the diverse experiences of our comunidad, celebrating who we are, preserving what we carry, and passing it on.

Jade approaches education differently; she creates spaces rooted in lived experience, fueled by passion, and grounded in the belief that our stories, our language, and our Latinidad are worth honoring.

As a 1.5 generation Latina, I’ve lived the weight of heritage loss and the journey of reclamation firsthand.
— Jade Cintrón Báez
Owner & Lead Teaching Artist of ¡Looking Bilingüe!

My work is shaped by lived experience and a lifelong connection to theatre, movement, and storytelling. As a 1.5 generation Latina, I understand the complexities of navigating language, identity, and belonging — and that perspective informs every space I create.

Through my work in ESL and cultural education, I’ve seen how learning transforms when it becomes physical and lived. When language is experienced through movement, play, and storytelling, something opens up; learners build not only understanding, but confidence, connection, and joy.

For many of us, especially those who exist in the in-between, language and identity don’t always feel straightforward. My approach creates space to explore that experience — helping individuals reconnect with their culture, their voice, and their sense of belonging.

“Ms. Jade .. Quiero darte las Gracias por enseñarnos a amar la lectura primero, para poder transmitirla a nuestros niños. De verdad hay un antes y un después en nuestro daycare gracias a ti.Las maestras aprendimos  técnicas de como ayudar a los niños a amar la lectura aun sin saber leer.”

“I want to thank you for teaching us to love literacy first to be able to pass it on to our kids. There really is a before and after in our daycare thanks to you. As teachers we learned techniques on how to help kids love literacy before even knowing how to read.”

“Jade possesses unbridled enthusiasm which students find contagious.  They have no choice but to connect to her high level of energy and excitement.  Due to embracing her cultural heritage, Miss Jade is very empathietic and understanding of people who've been "othered" which is particularly needed in the times that we live in.  Any student fortunate enough to have her as their teacher will always remember her - which is the highest compliment a teacher could ask for.”
